Umm... they are there to get some PS3 fans to buy the game to make up for their lateness, that would certainly fall flat if that content was avaliable on the 360

It's how they justify selling the games for full price again when their 360 counterparts are already half the price...or less.

They aren't full price on PS3, but yeah they are still more expensive

How much are they going to retail for?

Well Bioshock was $40, amazon US don't have ToV and NGS 2 listed, Amazon UK has NGS 2 is £45, some games retail for that, though nearly all are £50 ToV isn't listed, Eternal Sonata was £45
It is not much, but still a little less. I am not sure their price has been confirmed, but they probably won't go for full price

It deffinitly counts for something, but I can't help but feel cheated. I'm not to interested in TOV, but I bought Ninja Gaiden 2 almost a year ago now. Then they come and announce a better version for PS3. There's no way I'm going to have the money to afford this game a second time. |
I think you need to change your perspective. If you buy a Shiny new 2009 BMW, you're going to be very happy with it. But if you wait a year, and compare it to the 2010's, you may notice some new features yours is missing. The question is, what was more beneficial, driving around your awesome car for a year, or sticking with what you had to get more later? With games its the same way. If you want to hold off on buying a game incase a better version comes out, there's always that choice. But getting a copy of a game ages in advance (and a year in advance for a video game is HUGE) and given the choice, PS3 fans would probably have prefered NG2 a year ago.
Because they should have been multiplat in the beginning and now they try to screw PS3 owners ?
Yeah that's it probably.
This was Sony's tactic to combat timed exclusives. As I understand it, in most cases if something is timed for 360 then to appear on PS3 is has to have new stuff.
The logic, I presume, is to balance getting something first vs getting more if you wait. It also implies that the early 360 version may end up the inferior version.
I suppose after another wait some stuff might swing back to 360 again but I would expect that to be on a title by title basis.
Personally I think timed exclusives are a bad idea - full on exclusives, sure, such as Halo, Killzone, etc. - but timed exclusives in no way are good from a consumer viewpoint.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
After putting ninja gaiden 2 on 360 exclusive after they ported Sigma over to ps3, i can see a couple people mad.
Making ToV exclusive to 360 after the tales series were mainly on PS consoles, i can see why people are angry.
Porting over enhanced version of said games to PS3, leaving 360 with an inferior version (in terms of content), i can see why people are angry once again.
