sounds interesting even though I wasn't a huge fan of Too Human

But they weren't redone because they were bad, but redone because the CG was too long and dragged so they were shortened. In a Kojima Production pod cast Kojima regreted not being more involved in TS because fans of the original felt SK destroyed a masterpiece. |
I don't get why making the cutscenes shorter was such a bad idea. 90% of the hate I hear for MGS is because the cutscenes are too long. Then again, MGS2 and MGS4 are considered to be a worse offender in that area.
The bullet-time scenes from MGS:TTS were overkill, but what really disappointed me were the changes to dialogue. They frickin eviscerated Revolver Ocelot, and he was one of the less-altered characters.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

actually....those MGS issues were added by Kojima himself....thats the way MGS was suppose to be but he had restraints |
no, actually he wanted to make Snake to be more "im too old for this crap" kinda guy.
and yes i AM talking about MGS1 not MGS4, he wanted him to get older from the start.
Im sorry Jagged, they cut the price extremely quickly after launch. They could not have possibly made money on the Xbox 360 development cycle of the game with all the trouble they had with Epic and the low sales they got in the end. With sales like that theres no chance a publisher is going to fund a sequel, perhaps if they manage some success they can go back to the franchise.
Tease.
I hope they can make something else as good as Eternal Darkness.
And there was nothing wrong with Twin Snakes except for its lowered difficulty. The cutscenes were more in keeping with the ridiculousness of the rest of the series (and the change was Kojima's idea anyway) and the dialogue change was the same - which is good, because the dialogue from the original game bordered on insufferable.
Anyway, yeah. Silicon Knights has a lot of talent - I just hope they can focus well enough to make something really spectacular again.

Agree. I severely doubt that, given the long development cycle, intense legal troubles, and 600k sales, that they could have profited on it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Don't people generally consider MGS1 to be the best when it comes to dialogue.
