Ok so you understand the difference, sorry for the assumption :P
Think about this though, Microsoft only has a home console which retails for, on average probably $USD250 considering many buy arcade and many buy Pro while Sony have a console AND handheld, of which, the console is $399? something ridiculous.. Add to that the PS2 sales as well!
So if Sony are bringing in $10.7 Billion then you'd expect Microsoft to only bring in $5.6 Billion right? The reason that Sony are in such bad shape though is because with the PS2 and PSP making profit, the PS3 still loses those profits made and then loses some more on top of it and on top of this, Sony are being pressured to drop the price as they continue to lose marketshare to competitors. They are in a a tight spot at the moment but with the release of the $USD250 PSP Go they may have some room for that price drop on PS3.
In fact when you think about it, Microsoft are doing great with one console against three and half the revenue AND most importantly, more profit (or less losses)
Looking at Nintendo's figures is also quite astonishing with Wii being a $250 console and DS also being quite a cheap console compared with Sony's prices and not having a PS2-like third console on the market, having nearly double the revenue is quite an achievement.
