meh, I havent tried GTA:CW yet, and I would rather put my faith in that series then a brand new IP, but Ill keep a distant eye on this one.

and to Damkira, I am extremly excited for Spirit Tracks, and not to forget both Star Wars: Elite Squadron and Mario & Luigi 3 also on DS!

I think you should play this game, it's completely fun, I was really impressed on how fun it was even without the best graphics. All the reviews for this game are right. I have a PSP and I can safely say that Chinatown Wars is better than the PSP versions.

the gameplay looks really mediocre and basic....

The game does look nice, and I'm hoping the gameplay holds up.

@TX-109: I'll see those four games and raise you Ace Attorney Investigations and Mario & Luigi 3!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Wow, that was impressive!

"Once again did they use d-pad for aiming and steering?"

Not sure about steering, but aiming is with the stylus.

I'm actually kinda interested in this game along with TMNT Smash Up, Rabbids Go Home, Red Steel, & Football Academy.

Ubi is finally trying on Nintendo systems now, looks like that boycott actually worked :o

If I actually bought many DS titles when they launch I'd be interested. But I tend to buy my DS titles when they reach budget pricing. Not to mention I'm a little sceptic its a new IP and I rarely buy third party software. Then again I have always wanted to see a cop game the likes of GTA but playing as the good side.

It would be awsome if they took some of the gameplay aspects from NeedForSpeed:HotPursuit and had some good street chases. Calling in back up laying down spike strips etc...etc...

From an earlier post:

The details I have seen already from this game are surprisingly good, and I hope it gets better as it nears a release (9/30/09)

I got these from Wikipedia: The game will be a third person shooter and a driving game, in an open-world city with around 6 square miles. The game will have about 60 missions with over 20 hours of gameplay. It will be also possible, using the DS system's microphone (and the in-game PDA), call the S.W.A.T. team, create barricades, road blocks, call an ambulance and access the city's camera system.

Not spike strips exactly, but there are barricades.

There wasn't really a boycott, and one was unnecessary anyway. Ubisoft cares about Nintendo, as they are releasing a full mix of games on the Wii, that the PS2 was given last gen.
