M-Create finally gives us last week's total software sales. This week's total software sales are 1.254.521, 43,38% of last week. So last week's sales are 2.891.934. Taking into consideration DQ IX sold 2.318.932 last week it represents 80.19% of total software.

DS passes another milestone. It has now sold 27.065.355 units in Japan. It's on track to sell 29 millions by the end of the year and 30 millions by the first quarter of 2010.

PS2 hits new low by M-Create (3.352 units). Its decline isn't as fast as GBA but it's certainly on the way out.

PS3 drops below 9.000 for the first time since the week of October 20 2008 (the week before Gran Turismo 5: Prologue - Spec 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and LittleBigPlanet).

360 drops below 3.000 for the first time since the week of September 1 2008 (the week before Infinitive Undiscovery).Media Create Hardware:

Some HW differences with Famitsu

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

Around the Network

Both DQIX and WSR better for Media Create than Famitsu ---> better hardware?

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

DS is a beast... Damn i want MH3 week to come already just to see a console selling well for once

^ I believe that has been the case these past weeks as well. Wait and see...

Its true that Japan seems to be a heavy portable playing country now when you look at the discrepancy between portable games and home console games in the top 30! DS is really dominating that top 30 (PSP doing ok but DS in a leqgue of its own).

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

^^ yeah but you have to say that the PSP is getting very good support, 2 yrs ago it wouldnt have had more than 2 games in the top 50, and now look!

To me i still cant believe the Wii hasnt had much 3rd party support, but it has more than the west with MH3, DQX, Tales, FFCB, SW and hopefully more to come which is positive, but still not enough for what is the dominant console in Japan

Around the Network

Weird that a game like Hatsune Miku has these legs.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

wow DQ 9 n WSR n Tomodachi still good

Once again Dragon Quest shows how frontloaded it is. I was hoping it would show off better legs than the previous entries. Oh well, looks to be tracking similarly to DQ8.

WSR didn't have that big of a drop this week. This could mean it will have decent legs and hang out in the top 10 for a while.

Japan loves their handhelds.

95% of gamers don't know they are noobs, the 5% who do won't be noobs for long
