no, SCEI clarified that

480 MHz is for USB2 data transfer....

but i still don't get it why they used the term "clock" at 480 MHz in the original documents

More compact
No UMD Drive [this is a plus or minus]
Greater Storage option. [with a 16GB Go, you max storage possible is technically 48GB. If they ever release a 32GB Go your max would be 64GB]
There's talk of in-game XMB from sony but that hasn't been confirmed.

seriously though

i am buying it as a "real portable" multimedia device (MP3, MP4, games).  sony has done a pretty good job to come up this version of PSP that gamers been asking for (except the 2nd analog stick and PRICE).  i also want to prepare myself for the transition from PSP to PSP2, that is, stop buying UMD games and take whatever Sony is going to offer for the UMD goodwill program (i assume it won't last forever).  i think it's fair to assume PSP2 can play PSP games and won't have UMD drive

if the "success" of PSP Go in Japan leads to the release of FFVIII and FFIX on PSN store.  for me, PSP Go worths the $249 price tag.


that is a damn good point if the psp2 has no UMD drive current psp owners will be f**ked (including me) if they want backwards campatablity

It looks a lot more comfortable to grip compared to the 3000. Fits in your pocket so you don't need a backpack for it and your umds.

This. Take the latest Assassin's Creed PSP bundle. $200. You also get a 2GB memory stick.

Substract: the game, and the tiny memory stick.

Add: 16GB internal memory, and more portability, clearer screen, expanded battery life. And $50.

Whatever suits your needs, as Sony supports equally all models.

Well it's more portable(No UMD's), lighter and looks more comfortable. It also has 16 gb internal storage, and you can still put a memory card in it. Plus it's being bundled with GT Psp.

P.S It looks nicer.

The screen is slightly smaller, but also maintains the same res and decreases scanlines from the 3000. After a play, it is easily the best screen in a handheld released ever.

Add to that more portability and easily the best method of getting games to the system. Love DD over UMD.

169$ is what cost new and it only have a charger.

16gb cards cost 40$ right now,  and also the PSP Go have bluetooth and slider.
