Yeah situation is tragic I mean this Sony overpriced console have sold only 13M of software on 8.9M userbase (1.46 game per console sold) not like the mighty X360 which sold 21M software with small 17.8M userbase (1,17 game per console) or the ultimate software monster Wii which sold 26M of games on 36.5M userbase (for a truly amazing 0,71 per console sold). Truly doom is near... ...oh wait :) PS. Thinking about it those ratios should be around 10% higher as I compared NPD (us only to VGC console numbers which are whole America)

Not exactly. In order to compare your trophies for recently obtained trophies, it take about 5 seconds to sync (read: update) your trophies so that you can compare. You do not need to manually add any information in order to get a trophy.

your numbers are wrong for Wii, the Wii only sold 23.8m units in America, not 36.5m (although, I wish you were right ) for an amazing 1.09 games per console. However, these totals don't include Wii Sports which some people buy the console with no extra game, and NPD doesn't count Wii Sports (as far as I know, and these numbers back that up)

So the Wii is a lot closer than you had it there, but I'd trade the attach rate for >50% global console hardware marketshare.

well, the PS3 software in USA has seen a 30% increase over last years 1. half according to this (that's the biggest percental increase - same amount of unit increase as 360)

Wii needs some big new titles, legs are really carrying the system.

Yeah, it is a little peculiar. Then again, you know that Wal-Mart's business has been booming this past year, so perhaps Wii software sales growth has just been happening under NPD's radar.

It will be interesting to see if the shipped numbers in Nintendo's next fincancial agree with these flat sales.

Killzone 2 > Resident Evil 5
