Because I was browsing through the records, and I was looking at the top spot for each map's zone mode. It was usually in the 50-70 range, depending on the map. On Anulpha Pass, the record was 2853. 2853 zones. That is completely ridiculous. Is there some sort of glitch where you can't get destroyed, and you leave your PS3 on for a week straight? Second place was also above 2000, and several people were over 100. Oddly enough, Anulpha Pass (reverse) had a record of 99- still higher than usual, but a hell of a lot lower than 2853.

For those who don't know, Zone Mode involves steering your ship while travelling at increasing speeds with no Pilot Assist (which steers you away from the track side). As you pass a certain distance, you get to the next zone. You lose some health every time you hit the track side, and when you run out of health, game over. My overall record is 22 or something, don't think I've ever done it on Anulpha Pass. Getting to 2853 would take days, literally.

Glitch? Is the track really easy? Or is that guy just scarily good?

I propably will never get the zeus-trophy for getting to zone 75. I'm having difficulties to get even half the way to zone 32-33.

That has to be a glitch, I doubt any human can drive their vehicle at lightspeed in tight space.

I was actually checking the "Beat Zico" gold trophy and how many people had gotten it. Actually, quite a few. Somewhere in the realm of 500.

EDIT: No wait, less. Those were the people who had gotten below 30.82 seconds on whatever the track was, on Venom Class. They didn't all use Pirahna.

I tried that race, my best was 37 seconds. I gave up.

2853 zones seems impossible, you'd have to have the reflexes of a genetically enhanced jedi cat to be able to control your ship at those speeds. I'm so bad at the zones, as soon as i touch the wall once it turns into a game of pinball as I can't stop bouncing off them! This is the only game I play at the lowest difficulty setting (and I still struggle with it!)

Hee hee. Brag time. I have the Beat Zico trophy. That zone-zeus trophy will be hard. The best I got on Anulpha was in the high 50s. At least I managed to get the airbraker zone trophy. One day I will get the platinum for this game.

My friend has 100% trophies on the game. He keeps saying I can get it to 100% too but I think he is crazy. Wipeout HD has the most difficult and time consuming trophies (after 1000th try you should finally get to zone 75...or maybe 2000th) I rarely even win in online races, everyone is just so damn good because all the noobs like me stop playing it because they get frustrated. :(

I agree but I believe there are several people in the VGC trophy league that have it.

The Zones are the only thing I'm not good at, everythign else I'm fine but 70 zones seems impossible to me. Not got all trophies though, can't seem to be bothers, just want to race. Oddly killing 2 cars is hard. :P Online I'm good, usually winning or near top. Last online tournement, I won them all...might have been against rookies though so no idea. 'Twas a while back.

Can't wait for the expansion.

im pretty good at zones, but that Beat Zico trophy .... i can't do it , i already beat 99 laps over and still couldn't do it.
