Halo allows you a lot more freedom and variety than a lot of shooters, and still manages to be balanced. It has great online, and Bungie actually cares about their customers (unlike Epic).

The J man comes back after a month and this is the stupidity he is greeted with........
N64 is the ONLY console of the fifth generation!!!
metacritic score:
Halo 3 - 94
Killzone 2 - 91
do we seriously need this conversation?
well saleswise, halo is a massive name and millions played the first 2.I hate on metacritic when you get sites like...Teletext GameCentral, i just cant take them seriously

"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"
"England expects that everyman will do his duty"
"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

He asked why.
He already knows what the scores are.
OT: Because it came out much earlier and was the most hyped game ever. Its also a more popular franchise.
The online also plays better than Killzones.

Because i can have 15+ friends over and we all can have a Halo party. 4 tvs, 4 copies of Halo 3 and 4 xbox 360.
If you want to play Killzone 2 like this you would need 12 TVs, 12 PS3 and 12 copies of KZ2.
-Brand-name: with 2 previous games that were hugely popular, any suprise at the sales? Killzone 1 wasn't exactly considered AAA.
-Mass Advertising: Halo 3 has to be the most over-hyped and over-advertised game in history. MS must have spent a ridiculous amount. I'm sure this would have had some influence of reviews as well.
-Immense multiplayer in Halo 3. I'm not a big fan of the Halo games in general, but the multiplayer features are huge. Killzone's got good online multiplayer, but hasn't been refined as much as Halo 3 and no offline/co-op support.
-Halo is more mass market friendly. In the UK Killzone2 is rated 18+, and the graphics are very real and even most of the adverts are 18+ (I think Halo 3 is a 12A, 15+ at the most). Most responsible parents aren't going to allow there kids/younger teens to play Killzone 2. The graphics and enemies in Halo aren't as realistic, and are much more open to mass market.
I actually think the single-player campaign in Halo games to generally be average (too repetitive... although the vehicle sections are fun, the rest of it I find rather boring), but a lot of people seem to enjoy it and the story.

I agree with the reviewers liking halo more, its is a really good game i enjoy it , But i also dont think people will understand how good killzone 2 is untill they play it a decent amount, which i don't think you have at al.

I don't think aggregated scores are reliable. Because they also include bias reviews and scores. They can affect the overall score.
