-Jovanovic is running out of contract and decided not to turn up this season.
-Same for Mbokani
-Witsel horrible tackle on wasilefsky (or how the hell you write his name) got him suspended for a long time and after that he was crucified in Belgium. But he's regaining form now.
-Onyewu left in the summer (the backbone of the defence).
-Defour injured
-The team is very young.
+And they were focused on the European football and not on the domestic league.
-Coach got fired and rebuilding has started

They'll be lucky to even play qualifiers for Europe next season.

I have no idea what happend there.. all their key players stayed except for the de Zeeuw (who plays great at Ajax) and all lost their form in the first 20 matches... just recently they returned to a good level except for Dembele.. he's still plays bad.. he wants to go to a better team.. but I don't think many top teams are waiting in line for Dembele in this form..
