no scottish football, no?
cos I'm a Hibernian FC supporter... but don't have the sports channels so find it really difficult to keep up >.<

People don't care for Scottish football outside of the Celtic, Rangers and Hearts because they are the only ones that have ever really competed on a international level. Shame because the Scottish premier league is a good league.

This Gold Cup doesn't qualify to the nextr Confederations Cup, right? Seems too soon. Congrats to Mexico, by the way

And haha, Madrid drawing with Al Ittihad

Right, there will be another Gold Cup in 2011 to qualify for the Confed Cup of 2013.  CONCACAF insists on having the tournament every two years instead of four for some reason (probably $$$), and it cheapens it because teams like the US and Mexico (and even Costa Rica) sent understrength sides.

Actually Costa Rica and Panama were the only two teams that sent their big players. They were the ones the send a team almost identical to the one playing the "Hexagonal"

Crouch joins Tottenham

ha, they have some good striking options now, but can Harry Redknapp actually get em into the top 6?

Crouch = underatted

Crouch = Overrated

Never seen him play well for a couple of matches straight. I wouldn't put it in my team

When he played for Liverpool he was great, although he wasnt a prolific striker he was always effective and a pain for defenders. And his goal scoring record for England is nothing short of phenominal.

34 caps 16 goal

He certainly isn't a world class player but he is certainly capable at the upper end of the Premiership.

Crouch is a tall dude but he is ridicilously weak thats have been his problem for years, he is not able to use his height to full advantage because he can be easily muscled off the ball. I like his technique, but i never rated that guy he can score goles but only if other people provide for him , and for England he hardly scored in Important games (a bit like Rooney - but thats another story).

I just dont see why Spurs would pay so much money for him having Pavluchenko (who is similar yet better), Defoe and  Keane.

Spurs last few years are just a tragic story, so much expecations every year but they fail. I think this year they will struggle to reach top 6 especially with Strong Everton, Villa and City.

good that there is a proper football thread on this forum, since football is my favourite hobby miles ahead of any video game. (teams that i support are Flota Swinoujscie, AS Roma and Liverpool)

But then the same problem comes with heskey when he plays for England. He is over 6ft and built like a armoured tank and yet he never looks in the mood.

If Heskey had a bit of agression he could have made it as a world class international player. I guess some people just arn't born with that "fire"
