Super Nintendo Had Nintendo Classics and third party classics.
PS1 had only third party classics.

thats an interesting way to look at it.
i also think the ps1 may had to do a little bit with how games are today.. and in a bad way. i read earlier in another post that somebody said games today are 30% gameplay and 70% cinematics whereas games in the 80s and early 90s were 100% gameplay. i happen to agree, and i think playstation had something to do with that.

SNES, easily. The PS1's big contribution was FMV, which removes the immersion capabilities and shortens gameplay.
