Some pointed out that it is still to soon to know the extent of Nintendo's media drive (Hype Machine). Well as he just said Microsoft started hyping Halo3 really really early. I mean the first mini-films and constant trailers were being seen months in advance to the launch of Halo3.
Nintendo has only revealed very short and very small in game shots. Which infact are so small they aren't even often reported by game sites. NintendoPower has slightly hyped the game but no third party magazines have covered it at all. However Halo3 has been on the cover of almost every independant magazine in some way shape or form since E3 2007.
Fact is Nintendo hasn't done nearly enough to boost intrest or create hype for SmashBrosBrawl. Were only about 2 months from the games release and no almost as little as we did last E3. In my opinion Nintendo needs to change that right now boosting their advertising campaign I honestly think Nintendo needs to release some fresh footage every week 5-minute trailer, get an early demo copy to media outlets within the next month (No playable version was ever presented to media). Then Nintendo needs to start their televised campaign later this month or early November coinciding with the release of MarioGalaxy. Of course last but not least Nintendo should offer a promotional product to boost pre-orders as welll as widely publicize that copies of the game will be very hard to come by. This intern boosts hype because people become concerned they won't find a copy in stores and turn to pre-ordering or standing in line.
If Nintendo ups its anti right now to the point I specified theirs a pretty decent chance that Brawl could come close , tie or even beat Halo3's first week success!
