oki doki. 1) PS3 cost 500-600$. 2) after 1-2 years it will cost less, probably 300-400$. 3) ps3 has blu-ray, so no need for 5 dvd for a game, and you can watch full HD moovies. 4) http://stuff.tv/news/id-4735/ - best for full HD by stuff. 5) people wait not for one game, but for many, so when FFXIII, MGS4, DMC4, HS, Lair, Ratchet, Uncharted, LTB and etc. will be realesed, these games will incredibly boost ps3 sales, price won`t matter. 6) ps3 and wii are in diffrent categories, so people will buy and ps3, and wii. They are not rivals. 7) many series will have continues on ps3: Tekken Virtua Fighter Soul calibur Gran Turismo Jack dexter God of war Wild arms Front Mission Metal Gear Solid Z.O.E Resident Evil Silent Hill Devil May cry Final Fantasy Kingdom Hearts Medal Of Honor Ridge Racer Tales of ... The second you said "Price Won't Matter" it became clear that you don't realize that most people in the world don't have magical wallets ... They have limited resources and after they pay for their rent, transportation, food and other "needs" have very little left over for "hobbies" or "toys" Everything else you mention may be true but you fail to point out that when the Gamecube and XBox launched the PS2 had a 20 Million unit lead ... The March 2001 number you pointed out was the number of units the PS2 sold when it was impossible to find it on store shelves. Also the PS2 physically ran out of units in November/December 2000 after it launched in North America ...

I do think the price holds back a lot of people; but the main lack of motivation to run out and pick one up is the lack of games that need to be played. Additionally, I know a lot of people who are just waiting it out for Sony to fix all the bugs in the machine/software and production process. Now that we know they are going to work on rumble with Immersion, I am just waiting for the PS3 with rumble to come out before I pick one up.

HOW MUCH COST YOUR MOBILE? HOW OFTEN YOU CHANGE IT? people buy gears of war? don`t they ? almost 4 millions, and mostly only for GRAPHICS, not for 6 hours single player and 5 types of weapon or 10 MP maps? now imagine 10 games, which looks better then gears of war, wouldn`t you buy for them ps3 ? -They have an awesome animation scheme that allows for over 1,200 different unique ways of doings things like taking cover. There's nine screens of Drake taking cover behind a pillar...all of them completely different stances. Yes, roughly 1 Million people will upgrade their PC for an amazing game ... People in general want something inexpensive and fun Man, either you are Washimule or most PS3 fans have pathetic english, a poor understanding of the general public and an amazing belief that people only care about graphics and processing power ...

Don't forget a tendency to make long list of "great" games that will send the public into "PS3 MADNESS!!!", constantly talking about how PS3 is "cheaper" than the 360 and rehashing the same arguments over and over and over..... BTW, 1200 animations > gameplay. All I care about in a game is how the character takes cover slightly differently every time.

don`t care about my english as long as people undersstand me =) and well, english i need mostly for reading, so i don`t write much. hello from Lithuania, but geez, don`t think you even know where this country is. 1 mln? have you ever seen ingame trailers of crysis? i care about grahpics on third place, first is plot/story and second is gameplay. And well if people wouldn`t care they wouldn`t buy 4 mln. gears of war just for 6 hours of single player and 5 types of weapon, or maybe sometimes stupid AI of teammates. I've had it about a year now, and the last one I had I've had for about 3 years. Most people I know change up their phones once every 2-3 years or so, and probably spend more on service. I believe you are making a flawed comparison on mobile phones and the PS3. Last I checked, I don't carry my Ps3 everywhere with me, and I can't make phone calls with it. Also, people with Mobile phones (especially in the business world) consider the mobile phone to be a necessity. I can't make the same claim with the PS3.

well you see, u can`t watch with your mobile 1080p Full HD moovies, and well, you can`t play games which looks like CG moovies, you see my point.. ? =) It`s ok for you to buy new cell for 300-1000$, spent 30$/monthy, but hard to pay 100$ more for ps3? =)) You can`t because you just haven`t see ingame so many PS3 AAA titles, but this year you will see.. and then ps3 will become necessity.

Very (VERY) few hype articles make me care about a game at all because 90% of games that have hype articles are crap ... I'll wait for it to be near enough to release to get reviewed in order to determine whether I want it or not. A lot of people bought Gears of War but if you look at the sales objectively you'll notice that the XBox 360 did not really go to any amazing new level after the release of the game; the sales are respectable in North America and Europe but are not amazing. I have argued since the XBox 360's release that $400 was too much for most people to pay and I believe that this is what is keeping the XBo 360 from selling more. Now, if you look at the 12 month period between May 2002 and April 2003 you will notice that it is the biggest 12 months for the PS2 largely because it was the first full year where the PS2 was under $200 ...
