Forums - Nintendo - Confirmed: Excitebots not coming to Australia

“At this stage, we won’t bring Excitebots in. I know there’s a group of people who want it, but at our minimum [stock order] it’s probably too much for us to carry. I know in the US there’s a lot of that stock around. We’ve got to make that evaluation. We’ve got to try and support our consumers where possible, but unless we can sell the minimum we need to bring in, that makes it very difficult.” - Nintendo Australia’s managing director Rose Lappin

I thought so.. This is getting to be a problem the world over.. At least I can see why with this particular title, it's not going to light up the charts anywhere.

I wasn't really looking to get this but given Nintendo Australia's history i am not surprised.

That's sad. Does this mean there will only be an US-Version? No Jap or PAL-Version? Maybe I will import it and play it by homebrew later ... However right now I am busy with enough good Wii-Games. (The Conduit, Another Code R and so on ...)

How does it feel, PAL regions, to not get a game because some other region couldn't be bothered to buy that product?!

Never mind that Excitebots is much better than Disaster...

pal regions got little kings story and mario kart wii first, so all bitching is nullified.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

well, if Nintendo would have made a real ExciteTruck 2 with full online like MK, Wii Speak, and what not it would have sold far better (I would have bought it). But, Excitebots is just too meh in appearance for most to give it a chance.

^This.

Yeah, great, but what when US had SSBB 6 months before, or MP3 3 months before.... The list is long, those games we poor PAL-pals (...) have in advance are merely rare exceptions. And I don't speak about WW games we don't have (Gyrostarr, LIT)

Excitebots really was a colossal flop, wasn't it?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

This game will be a lost classic in 10 years time.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
