Gran Turismo's fanbase is larger than Forza's fanbase. Lets not forget, that the last Forza game just barely hit 2.3 million lifetime sales. Gran Turismo can sell that in its first week of sales! Forza 3's hype might be big but not big enough to sell more than Gran Turismo 5. Forza 3 will sell probably 300k first week while Gran Turismo will sell more than 2 million copies first week worldwide.

TRUE RACING FANS will get GT5, period. That doesn't mean SOME of those true racing fans won't get Forza 3, too. But every true racing game fan will undoubtedly get GT5 and if that means buying a PS3 for it, they will do it. Many real racing ONLY fans will jump on GT5 just like many did with the PSone and PS2 Gran Turismo games.

Oh great this again, waiting for someone to post pics so I could post some of my own (come on I dare ya)

^it's not only about pics or videos...GT5 does not only destroys Forza 3 in the graphics department, but also everything else. No other racing game has as much content as Gran Turismo or does it better. It's like someone said "Gran Turismo is car porn". It's like a racing RPG.

Pics of what? GT5P? Don't post them if that's the case, it would be a waste of everybody's time. If you are talking pictures of GT5 then...hey don;t bother posting them, everybody has already seen them and you will just clog the thread with useless tech jargan that the average consumer just doesn't give a crap about. I saw the pictures, they look great...but not any better than Forza 3. I mean, once again, the cars in GT5 have inconsistant finishes, matte in one area and gloss in another, it just makes them look fake. The environment looks a little off as well. Also, the only other differance I could see was the art style. Suffice to say, the two games are so close graphically that the average consumer just won't give a crap.
