Forums - Sales - PAL Charts Week 28 (2009). The Conduit debuts.

The pre-sales for the next harry potter movie are very strong. The potter franchise is far from "slowing".

One of the problems Conduit is facing, is that it's the vacation period going. People are travelling, spending their time in their cottages and lots of kids are working in the vacation from school (saving the money they earn for the fall). Of course, Conduit could have debuted higher.

Edit: Sorry, it was Game, not Play.com.

This would apply to every game on every console.

And go Buzz! lol. Too bad we aren't tracking it.

Yes it would, and does. Point wasn't to try to prove weak relative performance with other games at the time of the year, only that some of its early sales are delayed further.

Only, you clearly said, 'One of the problems Conduit is facing.'.

I'd say a bigger problem is a user base that is not interested in FPSs.

Still, looking forward to teh amazing legs when all those people get back from their cottages...

Well, don't hold your breath while waiting. It may still have steady sales levels for awhile.

With the lack of shooters on the console, it's no wonder Wii owners aren't that intrested in them.

I'm still sticking to my 1-3M expectation.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

has any1 seen any adverts in the UK?

It looks like The Conduit will have a 9k - 13k debut in Europe. Disappointing, I predicted 20k - 30k.

It should have ok-ish legs, but still, The Conduit will not break 200k in Others. That is a bomb no matter how you look at it.

America will still bring in about 700k probably. My WW prediction at this moment: 0.75m - 1m.

The Conduit's debut week wasn't so great. Hopefully sales will pick up around the holiday season.

Wasn't The Conduit supposed to sell >1 million units? I thought it was a premier FPS game, exclusively for the Wii?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Yes, and even with these low European first week numbers, there's still a very good chance it does 1 million or more.

Supply constraint, or people going to cottages, or somebody didn't see the ads. Pick one, or think up an excuse of your own. I like the cottages one myself.
