Because a GC can be had for like $25. You can't even compare to a Wii that's 10x more expensive.

I would argue that not only can you get the exact same experience with the Wii but, you can also get easily 10x more out of it, which is why I said its a far better investment.
Ebay has used Wii's around $225 now. Probably cheaper if you look hard enough, including local pawn shops and/or craigslist.
I'd still spend the extra $ and buy a Wii regardless of how cheap a GC is.
