Forums - Nintendo - Must have GameCube games?

Why buy a GC, when you can buy a Wii that will play all the GC greats, many of which have been upgraded with better controls and widescreen on Wii.

idk, I think the Wii is a far better investment than a used GC. But, I look at the long-term costs vs the short-term.

Because a GC can be had for like $25. You can't even compare to a Wii that's 10x more expensive.

I would argue that not only can you get the exact same experience with the Wii but, you can also get easily 10x more out of it, which is why I said its a far better investment.

Ebay has used Wii's around $225 now. Probably cheaper if you look hard enough, including local pawn shops and/or craigslist.

I'd still spend the extra $ and buy a Wii regardless of how cheap a GC is.

Yeah... i'm gonna invest in the machine that's $25 with a game and has a nice exclusive library and pay $5-$20 for each game. By time i'm done with all the GC games i'm interested in I'll look into getting a Wii for less than $225.

Because it's a hell of a lot cheaper and I will possibly buy a WIi again in a year or so when they will hopefully be cheaper lol. I already have a PS3 will tons of games to play so I don't need another modern system.

I did end up finding a GameCube with 2 conrollers and Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2 for a total of $45. Now I gotta start collecting.

Super Smash Bros. Melee
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend Of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Better on Gamecube IMO)
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Star Fox: Adventures
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike
Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 4
Battalion Wars
F-Zero GX
Metal Gear: Solid The Twin Snakes
Killer 7
Time Splitters: Future Perfect

Good list. Let me add those games:

Star Fox Assault
Pikmin 2 (you don't really need the first one. Plus, it's more frustrating compared to the second)
Custom Robo: Battle Revolution
007: Nightfire
Tales of Symphonia
Ikaruga

Damn, the GameCube had good games! =P

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

i can't believe no one list the Baten Kaitos series! BK:Eternal Wings and BK:origins are some great RPG's definitely a must buy

@ BOLD: Can't argue with that logic cause I think that Nintendo is going to lower the price either this year, or early next year. Either way it will be towards the end or begining of it's fiscal year...

*edit* Actually this thread helped me out too, lol. I had all 3 systems last gen plus my gaming pc, but I left the hobby, now that I'm back in it I can get all the games I missed on the GC for my Wii...

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

Not everyone is an RPG fan, I hate turn based RPG except if it's pokemon, but I don't play that anymore anyway. I do like RPG's that aren't turn based though.

Tales of Symphonia
Paper Mario: The Thoudand Year Door
Super Mario Sunshine
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I guess every game that is any good has already been mentioned in this thread...
