It is amazing that more people are interested in Wii Fit than in a PS3. Its even more amazing that the game is among the most expensive on the platform its on.
@fayeC: not amazing at all, everybody needs to be fit, but few people are core gamers. It's as simple as that. A balance board / exercise program just happens to be useful to everybody, my nephews, my mother and my grandfather included.
PS3 is 'useful' only to core gamers.
Wii Fit can outsell the 360, I won't start a thread when it happens though (well, I might).

Personally i don't think Wii Fit is that useful. Its certainly not the cheapest or best way to stay fit. While the PS3 has one (possbily you could make an argument for two) rival goods, the Wii Fit has many. Thats what I feel is amazing.
Edit, then again. the PS3 is not the cheapest way to play many of the games on it either.

Only it doesn't seem like the PS3 will ever get a price cut.

No, it's not really useful to everyone. It's somewhat useful to everyone who owns a Wii. That's a completely different thing. To buy Wii Fit, you need to own a Wii. Thus, the people who can buy Wii Fit isn't ~ 1 billion, but ~ 50 million (at the moment).
There are, however, more than 50M core players. The potential sales are actually higher for the Ps3 than for Wii Fit. Wii Fit has just penetrated its market better.
You guys sure seem to have a lot of time on your hands with all these graphs. I would have thought you would be spending your time playing all those great games that the wii has to offer.

That's pretty amazing! Never noticed before. But on the other hand, PS3 is selling about equal Wii Fit on a weekly basis in Japan.
