Edit: It is only fair to compare The Conduit's Japanese Sales to Halo3's Japanese sales. That just proves how much The Conduit Bombed.

I agree it bombed buy the hype it got.
BUT...
your comparison is so stupid.
Comparing it to Halo? Like common.
Anything with the name halo will automatically sell big.
example look at halo wars. Lots of people thought it was a FPS when they baught it only later to find out it was an RTS lol then returned it.

How is my comparison stupid? Both games are FPS, aren't they?
What's the difference? Is it that Halo has a budget like 500,000 times higher and that Bill Gates was paying for a commercial for it to be on television one every 0.27534 seconds?

Compare it to Halo 1 then. Why did that sell so well? It was a new IP. Being a new IP is not an excuse for selling poorly (or somewhat poorly anyway).
Thing is though; first off, no one expected The Conduit to sell that much (not even the most hardcore Wii fan in here did) and secondly; the OP seems suspiciously like a joke.
"The game is already successful with us as the reviews have been pretty impressive. Overall the reviews have been strong, and though there will always be some naysayers we definitely feel we have been able to offer gamers the Wii experience we were looking for. Though it is still early days in the retail life of the game, we are seeing very strong week one sales and being the best shooter on the Wii means that we think we will see this game out there and selling well for a long time." - SEGA's vice president of marketing, Sean Ratcliffe
sega is happy with the early numbers...no bomb confirmed ;)
the sarcasm and humor in this thread is absolutely tremendous.. Bravo, Bravo!!!
long live the Conduit!
One thing I think we are also forgeting is how terrible the boxart is... Both the standard and limited edition boxart are just generic and full of fail.
Now if The Conduit would have had this boxart, which gives some indication of the talent involved in the game's production... It would have been huge!

Alright I'll compare...
Kiefer Sutherland >>> Kevin Sorbo
done.
Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
