Currently dreaming of: DKC4 or Sonic the Hedgehog 4 (classic 2D platformers) for WiiWare, Smash Bros. for DSi, New Super Mario World for DSi, a Wii remake or true sequel of Final Fantasy Tactics.

Elite Beat Agents, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclessia, Chrono Trigger, The World Ends With You, GTA:Chinatown Wars, Jump Ultimate Stars, Legend of Zelda:Phantom Hourglass, and New Super Mario Bros(in no particular order)

god there are so many that could be there but many are kinda niche games but if your looking for RPGS
-The world ends with you
-Chrono trigger
-Final fantasy IV
-Pokemon Platnum
are probably the pick of the bunch
as for SRPGs
you have games like
-Disgaea DS
-Final fantasy tactics A2
-Fire emblem: Shadow dragon
and kinda fits Advanced wars games
and other RPGs that are worth getting after reading reviews to make sure they the kind of game you might like
-Castlevania: DoS
-Etrian Odyssey
-Sonic Chronicles the Dark brotherhood (It's from bioware)
-Magical starsign
other games
-Mario kart DS
-Metroid Prime Hunters
-Kirby Canvas Curse
-Sonic Rush (first decent sonic game in a long time and nostalgia probably got it on the list)
-Soul Bubbles
-GTA china town wars
-Metal slug 7
-Puzzle Quest (I liked the first one more)
and plenty more I can't think of right now

In no real order:

1. NSMB
2. Pokemon Platinum
3. Final Fantasy IV
4. Mario 64 DS
5. Nintendogs
6. GTA Chinatown Wars
7. Brain Age
8. Tetris DS
9. Mario Kart DS
10. Dragon Quest IX

That list would cover most genres, have something for almost everyone, and generally be a pretty decent 10-Game collection, if a bit eclectic. That being said, there are so many good DS games, one could come up with a completely different list.

That one is probably the best game on the system...

GTA China Town Wars and Trauma Center are the ones that have impressed me the most.

GTA really deserves its top metacritic score. It combines traditional gameplay with great stylus mini games. I love it despite the GTA branding.

Trauma Center was the first game I played that can't be done without stylus controls or Wii Remote now on the Wii... It is great.
