Yeah, right... Even EA requires at least a 90 when they buy a review.

They were low on budget.
Before IGN gave the Conduit press no one even new it existed.
I'd thank them too if I were High Voltage.
Also, High Voltage was just showing off that they could spell Matt Cassassamina's name.

Pretty obvious. IGN has been giving way too high scores for wii games always.
here are some secret excerpts i came across of conversation between an unnamed IGN staff and HVS
" ok ok i rate ur game high but make sure i'm in the credits ok ??????"
"damn you guys spelled my name wrong, now i'm gonna give u only a 8.6 rating"

Exactly. It's not just because I don't agree with the score which would be less awsome of a reason, but because of the reveiw itself. Their review has little basis in reality, and contains out right lies, If they clearly can not do this review half way credibly, that is a major blow to their credibility for all their reviews. They are less trust worthy then some reveiwer I know nothing about. |
I agree and would add more to that.
If your tastes differ wildly from the tastes of a reviewer, why would you like that reviewer? You wouldn't. Their reviews would be worthless to you.

They helped get them a publisher by being the only site that would give them media attention. I mean of course they are going to thank them. Not thanking them would be rude haha. Sure there is going to be a little bias in the review because of it but that is on Matt and Mark's side not necessarily HVS paying them off.
Why is it in this thread you can almost predict who is going to say what based upon what they have said before about the Wii?
In truth, since IGN championed the game when it was still in the alpha phase, there is (a) reason for HVS to thank IGN and (b) reason that IGN would like the game.
But remember the hatchet job that Matt did no Wii Music. I bring this up to show that IGN has been biased in both directions.
I hope to (finally) crack open my copy tonight -- after I mow the lawns.

That is a blatant lie. What you are suggesting is incomprehensible......that the reviewers finished the game (in order to see that their names were misspelled). EVERYONE knows that reviewers do not finish games before reviewing......they simply see the size on the cheque.
