Forums - Microsoft - Forza 3: No weather, night racing, or rally

So is that the only good of night mode? To enhance a race that goes on for 24 hours straight? Something 99.999% of gamers will not do. That is easily something that could be pushed aside for different features.

Sure it would make for some cool racing at night, but a deal breaker? Most definitely not.

Come on, no rain?

But war... war never changes

Sigh...

Look, its plain and simple.
Le Mans 24 hour... without night time = not good.

Even if they just implemented it for the Le Mans races it would be enough. It wouldn't be needed for the other modes and races.

As for the weather thing it is only something what could be classed as a "desired feature".
Not needed, but would be a whole lot better to have it.

Implement light cycles for one race in an engine with HDR lighting?  Yeah, that would definitely be an easy decision in a design meeting.  "Lets spend tons of money and time so a couple thousand people who are actually gonna race for 24 hours will have an enhanced experience."

Why not?

It is supposed to be the "definitive" racing sim isn't it?

whats so hard about that? , did you play grid ?

it had that and its on Xbox 360.

I guess, if you believe the PR. But then again, all PR oversell their product. Perhaps you shouldn't get caught up in it.

I have some real estate we should talk about.

LOL.  What is so hard about that?  LOL.  Like it is a flip of a switch.

You people honestly think that Turn 10 did not think about putting weather and light cycles into the game?  Of course they did.  But they obviously came to the conclusion that the time and effort were not worth what was gained.  It is not a question of whether it caan be done or not.  Obviously it can.  It is a question of time and money.  Pros and Cons.  Positivs and Negatives.  In this case, Turn 10 decided that the features could be dropped for other more important items.  At least try to put situations in a real life context, besides illogical forum banter.

And there is my point.

The game is getting over hyped for what it is... and it will harm the scores given to it.

Sales, who knows how they will end up... but the game itself will lose points for lacking features what people think should be there.

well if Codemasters did it , then why the "defentive" racing sims developers cant? , i think they're just sacrificing all these for the graphics.
