Forums - Sales - the reason xbox fans left? undertracked

the xbox360 wasn't overtracked, unlike the rest

seems rather likely

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

bait?

So you're saying xbox fans didn't leave, we just undertracked how many of them there were around... Makes sense

Seriously? People leaving because their console is under / overtracked?

How about you just enjoy the games you get and that's that?

That's golden. It really is.

On topic:

Did the X360 people really leave? Let's look at the stats. http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=79010&page=1

Looking at this, there are about 60% as many posts in the Microsoft forum as in the Sony/Nintendo one. Now, the Sony/Ninty one have Wii/Ps3 as well as DS/PsP. Obviously, this is going to increase the number of threads.

So; are there really that many less X360 fans, or is that just a myth?  Sure, there's bound to be a few less, but there always has. I don't think the X360 fans left, it's quite simply that more Ps3 fans joined (and the Nintendo fans just stuck around).

I'm going to go with the split being something ala 36-36-28 between Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. If you go back two years, it was closer to 50-30-20.
