The Play Magazine review of Overlord II is up.  In it, Dave Halverson gives the game a 9.0.  He says, "Triumph Studios show the world how to produce a proper sequel. Ground-breaking visuals (for real) and tons of new gameplay; bigger worlds, more characters, more management, more tactics and more mistresses! Plus a truly inspired original score and no crap online modes!"

     I played the demo version from xbox live and I really enjoyed it.  I haven't played the first one yet, but this looks like a series I would really enjoy.

Either the game's much better than the Wii version (highly likely) or the guy's high on crack. Note: the two possibilities aren't mutually exclusive.

I have to get the demo off of Live.

He's pretty easy on games but then again there are critics that are too hard on games so at least he may help people try a game that might otherwise get overlooked because of unreasonable review scores.

I used to have a subscription with Play. They seem to overrate just about anything. I would take their reviews with a grain of salt.

Well, in the Conduit thread about this guy reviewing, I sarcastically said that "Play magazine is the best gaming magazine, confirmed"...because this is the one review that isn't "hating" on the Wii. But with this review, and having played Overlord II....Play just lost credibility in my eyes

Gamespot is biased against the 360, they love the ps3.

This is great i hope Overlord 2 sells instead of a fps game.
