Forums - Microsoft - Year of the Xbox 360

Legend, do you want to jinx the 360?

I mean, they've been shouting from the rooftops about the year of the ps3 since 2007 and look what's happened...

Let's just say it's gonna be a solid year for the 360 like every year before and we'll be happy with that ;)

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

The line up does seem a lil bare.. for the next 6 months.. these are all the titles Im going to be looking fwd too..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

@tony

Thanks for agreeing with me.... infamous and flower arent AAA then. I agreed that killzone was.

For the note, Flower is AAA, inFamous is double A but not quite AAA quality.

The list lacks so many games =p!

^ Like Divine Divinity 2, Dead Island, Risen, Venetica?

I agree, the remaining X360 linup for 2009 will crush any other lineup.

New super mario bros. wii crushes every game listed in this thread. Add wii sports resort to that and it won't look pretty :O

Splinter Cell Conviction, Left 4 dead 2, Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake will all be available on PC in a better version, so they're not '360 exclusives'.

I still agree there are a few nice exclusives incoming on 360, just not enough compared to PS3 exclusives.

With ZERO 2009 AAA 360 exclusive released until now though, while there was Killzone 2, Infamous, Flower and MLB09 on the PS3, I don't think there's any doubt 2009 goes to PS3.

2008 was another PS3 year by the way since both games of the year according to website were PS3 exclusives (MGS4, game of this gen, and LBP).

Actually, it's very likely every year from 2008 will be PS3 year since Sony has 20+ internal studios, and MS has 3. The only reason why they managed to compete before 2008 is they bought 3rd party (mostly timed) exclusivity, which they can't do now anymore because of the huge PS3 installed base.

On the week of the fourth of July with Only Japan Data missing Ps3 stands at 79k Sku sales...Go figure..360 over 100k

I dont have 360 but i can play some of ''360 exclusives'' on my PC. Hmm...weird

Wierd enough The Lead PC Platfrom also lets you use the 360 control on your PC..You know the one that Even Sony makes games for....Microsoft Windows...

@selnor : yeah, I accept PS3 had 2 AAA exclusives in 2009, and the 360 had zero.

It's a fact based on metacritic so there's nothing to accept actually.

Don't let Selnor get to you..Next he will bring up how Killzone 2 was outsold by Halo Wars in 4 weeks while killzone was on it's 5th week...I mean do you want to agree with about that too?

@Carl : I'm okay with that, but you can't base facts off vg numbers either by the way. They are mostly estimations, and you don't even know how many people bought multiple consoles.

Base them off NPD numbers....
