^ It's all a consipracy against the wii, Ninja breadman should have won goty and I was really surprised when it didn't.

Haze > Ninja Breadman, but it didn't even win IGN's Best Game of July, I think IGN hates the PS3.

It doesnt really matter for me who gets a GOTY or not, this does not make a game better, nor it really improve its sales.

Disagree. SA was overextended, too much land and content too spread out. VC was much tighter, a better character and setting and no goddamn gangwars simulator.

As for GOTY 2008, wtf Fallout 3? Seriously. Wicked game.

For me, no.

I loved the engine (even with the pop-in,etc) but was underwhelmed by the content and perplexed by the 'it's as good a script as Godfather, Goodfellas, etc. comments' - when it clearly was a D movie to their A movie status in the script and story dept.

It was fun in parts, interesting overall but really was more (or from a certain perspective less) of the same with a better developed city setting - i.e. not GOTY.

We gave LBP the GotY08 award, cuz we're just awesome like that. :D

No. GTA4 was a great game, no doubt about that, but it's also pretty much the most overrated game ever (among reviewers, most gamers I know feel it's overrated).

Personally, I think were I to rate GTA4, I'd have given it an 88%.

As for 2008 GotY, probably LBP. OTOH, I'm rather biased toward platformers, and 2D in particular. I haven't played Fallout 3 though, so I can't say an opinion on it (I'll get to it... Eventually)
