Hmm, meh, I might've considered getting one of these games if Sapphire and Diamond hadn't disappointed me so much. But Pokémon... nah, it's getting too old.

Luckily I haven't owned a pokémon game anymore after pokémon Silver. I've played a little bit ruby and diamond, but it just wasn't as fun as silver.

More variety (Pokemon) is always good. And GameFreak expanded the Johto region; if you didn't see the new map, it's bigger. Hopefully Kanto won't be watered down like it was in the original G/S/C 
And there's 493 Pokemon, but yeah, if you count the alternate forms of characters, there are a little over 500.
Next gen is going to be nuts. Around 600 Pokemon... Good God.

I just think most pokemon from diamond and pearl are sooo lame, I didn't want to catch a single ne because they were all so god damn ugly and boring...
I liked some of them. Togekiss looks like an airplane, but I still love it. That starters look awesome.

Well, they're not all ugly ofcourse, but just a lot of them looked lame imho.
Yeah, most of the ones that evolve from Pokemon from older games... those look lame. I did like the ice Eevee.

In Gold and Silver his Pikachu was level 81. In Platinum, Barry's starter pokemon got up to level 85!
So I think they need to raise all of Red's pokemon by 5 levels so his Pikachu will be at 86. 1 level higher!
