it will be very tough, but its possible. i think it will be around 38.5 million at the end of the year, without a price cut. if m$ drops the arcade to $150 by mid-sept, then hitting 40 million is within reach.

At this point an individual game doesnt push sales much.  It is the overall strength of the lineup, value proposition and buzz that will push the 360 past 40 before year end.  It will be close.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

40 million is very unlikely and for that to happen they need a price drop which they won't do because they are saving for natal launch or next summer/fall

and it is also unlikely because many good/great games are coming for ps3 and wii like NSMBWii and GT5 so it probably won't get to 40 million
