It will be 38 million. Which is good enough, a very nice number. The Xbox is very strong in this gen.

But who would have thought that the Xbox360 would be this popular compared to the previous Xbox? MS really made a big step in the right direction this gen.

They have some VERY interesting hardcore titles coming up like Alan Wake, Halo ODST/Reach, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Mass Effect 2 and Forza Motorsport 3. The launch of Natal will be the next big thing to have an eye on. This might actually grab some casual gamers. The chances that MS will break the 50 million mark at the end of this gen are high and this is simply awesome.

They more than doubled their last gen.

It will be close, they will need to do some big PR stunt or have something big coming to the xbox's before the holiday season in order to push it that doubtful 2 million everyone has. I'm going to say No, but I'm also gonna say it is possible if microsoft really wants it. Which I kinda doubt they are willing to go so far for 40 million by the end of the year.

With a price cut, quite possible; without, quite unlikely. But yes, it can happen. Also, they would need to cut the price early enough.

If the current trend of 360 selling more then it did last year it should not be a problem reaching 40 million.

How much better is it doing compared to last year? Cuz if it's over 100% then it's really possible...if not...than it'll probably 1 million to 500,000 short of that...

I should be within a million or two. 40 million will be tough unless the Wii completely flops in the last half of the year and free a shitload of casuals to go for the Arcade.

Will be a really interesting chase to watch.

A strong Q3 showing will be needed to make the difference, as I don't think they can improve much on their Q4 sales performance of last year.
