Forums - Sales - Halo 3 sells 3.83 million copies worldwide in 5 days

Its a great start :)

But Halo2 had a similar start - and fell off the charts really quickly (as it was top-heavy) - in Europe anyway.

Wow. 1.2m outside of the US? Insane.

Halo 2 only managed 1.7m outside the US. That's just ungodly. Regardless of the US, Halo 3 will definately sell alot better than Halo 1 and 2 in PALand and Japan.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

 It'll be interesting to see how Halo 3 fares from now to the end of the generation. If it has a Halo 2 start and anything comparable to Halo 1 legs, sales will be massive.

I wonder how long till it dies down. Probably not till after xmas.

Good bye PS3, hahahaha

I am just taking in all the benefits of the console war.

careful tsn...you're too young (in posts) around here to start a fight with the Sony Collective. Wait til you have over 100 posts at least.

@tsnick12345

You will be banned. Its as simple as you can say it.

To stay on topic, what other title sold more than this in its first week?

What was halo 3's advertising budget?
leo-j... Well in the UK it was GTA3:SA, not sure about WW. Maybe Wow:BC?

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

@vengi

I completely agree with John Lucas, honestly if you can't give credit here where it is so obviously due you are not being honest with yourself. This is truly an impressive first week for a game...hell for anything ever printed on a disc I bet this is probably the best first week sales in all major markets except Japan.
