Forums - Microsoft - Real prizes for 1 vs 100 starting July 10th.

The sweepstakes drawings will take place on the 13th I believe, and then the next one sweepstakes starts immediately afterwords. And just as an FYI(I didn't know this until Chris said it last night), the maximum number of entries you can get for the sweepstakes is 500.

It's right in the rules that the max is 500

Finally!

@Mistershine: You can win Microsoft points and XBLA games.

Is that it? In the UK they've confirmed 'real' prizes, including digital cameras, holidays and cars.

Oh, yeah. There's stuff like that, too. I think you earn entries into the drawings for those prizes by just showing up and answering questions. That's been going on since the beta started, though, so I assume they're talking about the other stuff.

You don't go into a draw, that's the prize if the One beats the Mob.

"We are very excited about 1 vs 100," Tania Chee – the UK marketing manager for Xbox Live – told TechRadar. "We are hoping it will be a success and, from what we've seen, people seem to like it.

"In fact the more people play it the more excited they get and the thing about the UK is that we are offering real prizes on top of Microsoft points.

"So, imagine you are sitting at home and you are the one and you know you can win an HD television or a car, which we have guaranteed we will give away in one of our shows; that's pretty impressive."

Only 'the one' can win the major prizes, but those picked for the 100 (the mob) or even in the crowd will be able to pick up Microsoft Points or free Xbox Live Arcade games.

Oh. I might have misunderstood just what the One can win. Or maybe Microsoft is extremely grateful that they outsold the Wii in the UK recently, and this is how they express it.

I'll start playing again soon then. I stopped playing sine there were no real prizes.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Finally!

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

I can't wait, even though I probably won't win anything lol.

Sweet, I haven't participated in the beta for a week since I was losing interest but now that the prizes are coming online I'm definitely going to play more.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">
