Fighting your way through Hell sounds like fun to me. I really want this game now.
Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Doesn't look bad or anything, but it's not really on my radar yet. My cousin has been talking about this game for weeks, now. I'm a little disappointed, actually. He did recommend Conan to me, and that game was okay, though.
| Slimebeast said: ^wow, is that official box-art for Dragon Age and Dante's Inferno in your sig silicon? Both look beautiful. |
Hopefully those are the official box-arts because they do look so nice.
I just got them from this site.

Why are you disappointed? Because it looks like a God of War clone?
I believe Dante's Inferno will be a lot better and epic than that Conan hack'n slash game.

No it won't. I think Dante's Inferno will sell somewhere between Dead Space (1.4 million on PS360) and Devil May Cry 4 (2.4 million on PS360). |
See...I don't get this, as if GOW was this AMAZING franchise that totally dominated. According the VGC, and this info might be incorrect, I don't know for certian, but here are the numbers for GOW Franchise:
http://www.vgchartz.com/games/index.php?name=god+of+war
GOW - 3.21M
GOW2 - 2.47M
GOW PSP - 1.76M
So...expecting GOW to deliver some overwhelming numbers, given the tepid results of ps3 exclusives to-date is unrealistic. I'm sure GOW3 is going to have a solid performance, and it might even top a combined Dante's Inferno sales number, but it's certianly not a shoo-in to do so, especially based on comparatives.
Based on the info provided so far, Dante's Inferno looks to be a Assasin Creed-like multi-platform performer, imho.
| Slimebeast said: The setting and the story of 'Dante's Inferno' would certainly have deserved to get a lot more advanced and sophisticated genre than hack'n slash, but this will still be a great game. |
I can understand that you dont need GT5, seeing that Forza 3 will probably deliver bigtimes, but I wouldent bet on DI... it looks good, but common... GoW3 will destroy this ;)
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Sales don't have a direct link to how much fun a game delivers, but there is a indirect connection. I'm sure GOW3 will be great, but I'm a little confused by the comments that somehow GOW3 will be untouchable...using what metric? Comparatively, I said Prototype would top infamous n sales, and it's done it...I've played the demo for infamous, and it was fun, so I'm not saying the game is bad, just that poster on this site confuse that with sales projections...and that's a really incorrect trend that continue, even with a mountain of evident striking it down. If you tell me FF13 will unbelievably chart like crazy (ie. MGS4 type numbers )on the ps3, I can believe it, but to say GOW3, or Uncharted 2, or KZ2 or R2 as many people did, is just pure comedy at this point.

the original comment was probably saying that Dante's Inferno should not be compared to GoW3 because it is highly unlikely to be of comparable quality, and had nothing at all to do with sales.
...
Another hack n' slash game trying to copy God Of War. Every single game who tried to copy GOW failed.
Conan=FAILED
X Blades = FAILED
Ninja Blade = FAILED
EDIT: Actually, this looks more like Devil May Cry. You are fighting demons just like in DMC, the main character's name is DANTE, the moves look identical to DMC4...
