I think its good news all around.. none of the suits in SMG were all that innovative although the bee one was pretty cool..

Its also very good to near that SMG2 will be more difficult.

The bee was cool but the only innovative one was the Ice Suit... The skating parts were freaking awesome!

Where the hell are the bad news?

Just let me use the flying suit which was barely used in SMG and I'll be happy.

Agreed.  It'd be nice to be able to use it more.  Plus, I love the music that comes on when you fly.

No new suits isn't so bad as long as they keep all the current ones.  I just hope they find it in their imaginations to make more amazing worlds.  I'm still not over Matter Splatter Galaxy.  Simply jaw-dropping.

Yoshi's return is definitely good news.

oh yeah, this game is sold

...but Yoshi's in it and has several different abilities.

Am I reading this wrong? I don't see any bad news.

The trailer was Midi

Exactly, that's why I'm concerned... That midi music from the trailer was actually a song that already existed in the original Galaxy as an orchestrated piece, so why the heck they had to re-do that in midi and put it in that trailer is beyond me... :s I just hope it's not a sign of things to come, 'cos imho the music was one of the highlights of the game, suddenly switiching to midi would be retarded.

That's not quite correct: the music used in the trailer is an arrangement of a number of pieces from Galaxy. The fact that it is a midi recording (technically an incorrect use of the term, but whatever) is not very surprising as it is actually quite common for composers to make midi mock-ups of their works to show the director before hiring an orchestra to do the final recording - something that is usually done at a very late stage of production. For reference, the original Galaxy also used midi music for the first demo/trailer.

Of course, Nintendo may still try to cut some corners where they can (I assume they will implement at least some music from the original sountrack) but there is no indication that they will lessen their standards in terms of orchestration of any new material at this point.

thats kinda what i was thinking of too. they always use an orcestra for recording for only 1 day, and before they could do that, they would have to be far enough along in development to know all of the music that will be in the game, and have the sheet music for all that written out, and they probably aren't that far along yet. remember that this game still has about a year or so (give or take a few months) before release.

Yes, well, I just hope they'll go with orchestrated music again. It was so frickin' awesome in the original Galaxy, I can't see why Nintendo would choose to go for midi instead... Ah well it'll probably be orchestrated anyway, it's just that I'm kinda worried it won't... We'll see. :)

Wait did he say the time slowdown is supposed to be like the feature in NSMB Wii where the game plays for you? LOL did he WATCH the E3 trailer, where you have to hit a switch and time slows down, cause you can drop out any time on NSMB Wii but you can only slow down time at certain parts in Galaxy 2... so comparing the two right off the bat is a terrible idea...

Common sense isn't so common I guess...

It's harder than SMG as I hoped XD

Plus, Yoshi beats new suits alone =P
