Just in: PSP Go has a 40% faster processor... up from 333 mhz to 480 mhz... niiiice :D

Oh and Zen: that procedure is ca;lled piracy my friend, and if you tell me that more then 1% of the users of CFW wont dl illegaly games, then you are probably high ;)
The Go will trully have a chance to stabilize PSP software sales from the already decent form. And seeing how many devs are starting to back it again, I think they agree to.

No matter what people say on this site about the Go, it seems that it had managed to reignite the intereste of 3rd party developers, and thats what really matters. I for one Im going to back it asap because if we get the PSN cards to then all my awful months pof waiting for a game will be the thing of the past :D

Not using UMD is a good thing IMO=P

I know you probably realized this, but if you didn't:

On your original PSP, you can actually install your games to a memory stick. You don't even need the UMD disc in the drive. All the UMD amounted to was an option, never a requirement.

I'll be the first one to admit that UMD sucks...but if you're in a situation where you need it, it can be a lifesaver.

Reported: you are clearly advertising hacking/pirating procedures for the PSP which offends both the forum rules and most gamers whom actually go out and get their gaming fix in the old way: legally...

No, it's not piracy. The process for pirating games and having them play on your PSP is completely different than the backing up of your old UMD games. That said, I've removed the link because after reading your post, some people, who don't like my arguments already, might conviniently try to agree with what you now know is a faulty assumption.

The only way MY procedure would be used for piracy is copying a friends game to a flashcard.

I despite piracy, and will use this post to speak out against it. Piracy is the reason we have the Go!

Next, the processor is faster? I think that having a significantly faster processor is an upgrade, and I'll admit the PSP Go is more appealing(but still vastly overpriced), now that I understand this new feature.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

oops double post

One thing that nobody argues about it beeing overpriced. Hell even Il admit that seeing that I was expecting a 170$ PSP Go! from e3 I think its a bad idea to start the PSP Go! from 250$... Im hoping for a fast pricecut ( tough that wont stop me from buying one ).

The PSP Go! is somewhat Sonys trial to make up for their biggest mistake ever: no piracy protection at all in the first PSP. WIll this work? We still dont know, but seeing that its smaller ( the first PSP was a bit bulky I have to admit, and it wasnt entirely pocket friendly), has 16 GB of flash memory, sliding screen, 40% faster processor, better memory card option, it will weight less and have a pretty complex online store ( already the updates are started to roll much faster post-e3)... all this is more then enough for me and IMO most gamers to call it a great update, save up a bit and buy one ;)

DSi, its the evolution in gaming we need.
PsP go! has the potential but sony always manages to screw things up.

we arent ready till nex gen to have a download only system.

hello how are you.

I'd say DSi, ds has a better gaming library of you look at it objectivly. That doesn't mean that some people like psp games more then ds games though... You can't argue with taste. Just pick the console which has the most games you like and you should be fine. If everybody followed my logic then there would be no trolls,etc...

Neither. The cost of these new handhelds is too high ($200 and $300 presumably for the dsi and psp go in canadian dollars).

DS Lite is the best option as they can be bought for under $100. Unless a ton of great software comes out for DSiWare, I doubt that'll ever change. PSP 3000 is a good choice for some people but i'm definitely not a fan.

Kind of an aside, but where is the virtual console for the DSi? Making GB,GBC,GBA, NES and SNES games available seem like a no-brainer. What's Nintendo waiting for?

Would you rather buy the DSi or the PSP Go? Now the DSi only cost $169.99 which is $80 cheaper than the PSP Go which is 249.99(as much as a Wii.) The good things about the DSi are that its has 2 camera, uses SD cards, bigger screen, plays music, has DSiWare and its cheaper. The bad thing is it doesn't play GBA games. The good things about the PSP Go is it is smaller than the PSP, plays music, 16 GB of flash memory. The bad thing is it doesnt use UMD and it is more expensive.

Let me fix that for you.  "The good thing about the DSi is that it plays the overwhelmingly large library of awesome DS games".  "The bad thing about PSP go is that it plays PSP games."

DSI easy pick
