@pbroy, I agree with you bro. The platinum & greatest hit box cases are horrible and I try my best to avoid those when I go to Gamestop. I remember when I really wanted Dead Rising on the Xbox 360. So I looked on the used shelf and only saw the platinum box case. I was pissed because I wanted the original so I took it to the counter and the cashier was like is this it. And I was like yes but I want the green box case for Dead Rising is that possible. And he looked in the cabinet and found it for me and that was that.

But I totally agree if the box art isn't sexy or eye-candy awesome, then I will avoid the game totally!

But I do research on my games before purchase, like flaws i.e. controls, gameplay-wise before actually purchasing

God yeah platinums are annoying.... The only game that I purposefully bought that was Classic was Dirt, because all other versions were out of stock

I was rebuying Jak 1, Kingdom Hearts and Daxter from amazon marketplace (maybe eBay) and while being careful to select the normal ones, but I got platinums... so there are two black and silver stripes sticking out in my PS2 collection. I also bought a copy of GoW CoO, only to find out that it was platinum.... but they were all so cheap that it was not worth sending them back

I never bought or not bought a game because it had a good looking cover of all the ones you didn't buy because you didn't like the cover I only own Monster Boy in Wonder land which is one of the better SMS games. I think all SMS games had pretty dull covers.

I bought quake 3 arena because of its cover art and I have never regretted that purchase. Wish they made games like that this gen... All we get is freaking call of w/e and other stupid fps that are the same.

Ohh yeah, forgot about the PC stuff I bought for the covers.

Pretty awesome games too. All of them Dungeons & Dragons games had awesome covers.

EVERY UBISOFT GAME because in europe, the spines do not have the game logo's but simply have the name of the game in black text against a white background, ugh.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion's cover got me into the series.

Animal Crossing :( I didn't buy it. The cover looks childish.

I bought melee on GC because of the cover. I saw pikachu. That was enough for me to buy it.
