Forums - Nintendo - Square-Enix countdown mystery solved with Shonen Jump scans

http://kotaku.com/5305434/square-enix-mystery-solved-+-the-four-warriors-of-light

"Square Enix's mystery countdown title is a mystery no longer, as scans from the latest Weekly Shonen Jump reveal The Four Warriors of Light: A Final Fantasy Anecdote.

At least that's the way the game's name translates according to our own Brian Ashcraft, who pored over the scans to glean what information her could. The Four Warriors of light, the name of which was uncovered in a trademark filing earlier this month, is a traditional turn-based roleplaying game for the Nintendo DS that tells the story of a boy trying to save a princess. The scans contain scant details other than when you change equipment, your character's appearance changes, which is a feature that many RPG fans salivate over. This supplemental Final Fantasy adventure is on its way to Japan this fall.

Now that we know what the countdown image will eventually look like, we can go back to doing more productive things in the middle of the night, like sleeping."

Tada! Not all that exciting to me personally, but go ahead and salivate, those of you who want to

Another DS game? I'm shocked.

Looks like a totally 3D version of 7th Dragon with fugly character models. I think I'll be skipping this one

Huray for chibi characters!

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

Another Final Fantasy game gasp!

Looks like a chibi version of Phantasy Star. I'll wait for Dragon Quest games thanks. Don't need random FF titles in my library (unless they also bear the Crystal Chronicles name).

How technical is your game?

Very cute.

I sat down with my wife and my brother to play some Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube recently. Still probably one of the best multiplayer experiences in the medium. I love that game.

Truth be told, I was kind of hoping this would be a new Crystal Chronicles that would be controlled wirelessly with the DS. Bummer.

Enough is enough, sure it's fun that the DS gets alot of RPG's but I actually prefer them on consoles.

They could atleast do some RPG's for the Wii outside FFCC.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Bah, DS again...
