Based on those scores, I guess I should just ignore Edge.  As much as I like Zack and Wiki and Boom Blox, those games aren't even close to being better than MP3 or Mario Kart Wii.

Yeah thats pretty much how I view Gerstmann (GiantBomb).  Anyone who rates Warioware better than Twilight Princess is messed up in the head.

Actually, I agree. Their reviews rarely match my own opinion on a game. If there is any one site/newsprint that matches my general opinion on most games, it's IGN. Even then, they're far from what I think makes a game good. I mean a 67 for Disgaea 3. Pfft!

True... There are a few IGN review scores I don't agree with...

GTA4 10

No More Heroes 7.8

Disgea 3 6.7

But they at least back up what they say with a well written review most of the time...  I've noticed that 1up, GameSpot, GiantBomb etc. will pan a good game and then write 1-2 paragraphs explaining/defending their point of view and sometimes they even put out false information.

Nobody pays attention to Edge anyhow..... always sucked.

Not really surprised. Edge gives reviews like this all the time.

I think it's funny that people shout out bias about a magazine that they have never actually read. I mean, there have been so many articles about how Nintendo are expanding and improving the videogame industry. They're also the only magazine that deeply analyse sales numbers and such like any VGChartz-dweller would love.

It's probably one of the best magazines out there, and it's the only one I purchase due to the fact that it's the only gaming mag that has information that isn't easily available on the web.

Thats great but how do great in depth gaming news and sales articles make up for reviews that clearly aren't in line with most gamer's opinion or even other reviewers. If it were that their scale is just more harsh, I would give them a break, but even accounting for a tougher scale, they underrate alot of good games.  Still, if they back them up with fact, I am ok with it for the most part.
