If they are really going to include B/C through emulation as that one article said (using the Cell), then technically every PS3 will be able to do it, not just the new Slim.

Although I don't think they are anywhere near ready for that yet since they just released a patent for it, to basically secure their idea.

The "so-called" superior PS3 machine is about to turn into a cheap plastic appliance... already... anyway...
