I have a feeling that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will get fast cheap if all that you say here is true

Have you been keeping score? Halo 3 alone sold 2.63 million copies in its first week. And you really think Solid Snake and FF13 can sell that many copies? Maybe over their lifetime, but not on opening weekend.

MS doesn't need to panic ... Sony's shooting it's own self in the foot and running scared.

A few will be duped into buying that 40gb $399 cheap Blu Ray player, but after the masses get it, they will still be begging for games.

And your argument - beating the 360. Worldwide, the 360 is thumping the PS3 2 to 1 except in one region - Japan. AND ... lastly, folks were talking about how Warhawk, Lair and HS were AAA titles that would move systems ... I want 2 see evidence of this foolishness ...

with the new week, its outselling pse3 a little over 4 to 1 in the states :D

i dont think the ps3 price cut will do much to change the ratio, because microsoft is supposed to be releasing a system bundle for the holiday with 2 games, forza 2 and i dont exactly remember what the other game was, so that should cut into the appeal of the ps3.

yeah, as madskillz said, marvel alliance.  I looked it up, apparently best buy.com was taking preorders of Elite and Pro versions(i think they did it too early, because they took it down) on elite and pro versions with the game bundle.  I dont think theres any price change tho, but its not bad considering those games still are retailing 60 bucks for forza, and 30 for marvel alliance, so thats a deal of 90 bucks for the the price of just the system.

so yeah, to add, you would have a $400 for a 40 gig ps3, compared to $350 for a 20 gig pro with 2 games, or $450 for a 120 gig elite with 2 games. IMO, if this is the case, the new ps3 may have a tough time competing to the general public. Im not sure if the extra 20 gigs will justify the extra 50 bucks and 2 less games.

 Apparently, the Arcade will be like $279 with games. Actually, I don't think there will be no price cut ... shoot, it should haven't have to worry about a PS3 without the PS2's bread and butter ... backward compatiblity. Oh yeah ... that's what I want. A PS3 that can play just PS3 games ... and it good to use as a substitute for my Foreman grill ...

I just don't see anything in '08 that will come close to matching Sony's line up at this point for the 360...you should re-read my post as I already said '07 was the year of the XBOX, thanks in large part to Gears and Halo 3 of course.  I'm jst worried it's peaking too soon.

 Take a deep breath....re-read my post and try again since you failed to convince me why MS has anywhere near the lineup PS3 has in '08, or is Halo supposed to carry them all the way through 2008?...Further I'm not talking silly new ip's like you've posted, those were clearly released in '07 were they not?  We're talking tried and true games that have proven themselves in the past, a la Halo(and before your head explodes, I'm not saying any of these games will sell what Halo 3 sold)
