Hello

Capcom is hardly slipping. They are the only Japanese editor doing so well in the transition to the new gen.

These last years, they gave us new IPs like Lost Planet, Dead Rising, Phoenix Wright, Zack and Wiki and Monster Hunter.

They also gave us very good sequels to Devil May Cry, Resident Evil and Street Fighter.

Bye.

Many ppl consider the DMC and RE sequels disappointing actually.

And many consider them a great game, so?

LOL....

The missing key is Breath of Fire 6 ;)

"And yet, I've realized that maybe living a "decent" life means you won't ever have a "good" life."

My only gripe is that they havent been putting one of their oldest franchises like Street Figther IV, Bionic commando on Wii lately (not counting RE5 since it originated on the Playstation).

Sales beg to differ. Their games may be more westernized but that sells and Capcom want money just like everybody else. I loved DMC4 and RE 5 so I don't think Capcom is slipping at all. Bionic Commando may not be a great game but every game will not be successful. Some people may have the opinion that Capcom's new games are bad but opinions are opinions and not sales.

That would be great.  I missed Breath of Fire:  Dragon Quarter and III is my favorite.  A new one would really excite me.

No... Bionic Commando was a financial but nor a critical failure. DMC 4 was not as good as 3 but still far better then ex. 2, RE5 took a different aproach, but IMO its wasnt neceserally for the worst ;) ( tiough 3 and 4 are still my fav ;) ).

I would say its stagnating but NOT going down overall ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

this is Capcom's strategy...

50 meh games (Resident Evil Archives, Mega Man Star Foce 45 etc.)

1 good game, Street Fight IV

wash rinse repeat

Meh, after they closed Clover they are dead to me... Also, Making Resident Evil into a TPS was a big mistake IMO. Only supporting the Wii with ports/rail shooters and failing to give Zack & Wiki a marketable art style also fails.

I doubt that SF4 netcode was bad on all systems, I hear its quite great from my friends with Xbox 360s and the lower latency between the controller and the consoles a pretty good help too I must add.

I had few problems on the 360 version of the game. I had more issues on the PS3 but even so, it was hardly bad net code. More than half of my additional issues on the PS3 version of the game were do to playing gamers that didn't use the optional install. The start up time for matches on the PS3 was horrid if one of the players didn't install the game.
