So the game is almost totally broken? Weird when there seems to be quite a few people that like the game.

so if i make a review site they will put my score on meta and gamerankings when i will review games like this:
Killzone 2
- subpar to many 2006 pc games and compared to Crysis on my 7000$ pc rig this game looks damn awfull. 4/10
story - well i was takin dump during cutscenes but it's about war and future how many games have that? 5/10
gameplay - well it only took me 2 hours to play through first 5 levels, meh. since i don't care bout online i didn't even tried it cause who cares and this is another game that not only doesn't support wii motion plus, but even wiiremote and nunchuck(not to mention fully customizable controls which is standard in fps games just look at pc games and The Conduit) which are far superior than standard controler. 4/10
presentation - well it's another grey-brown-green game, again and again, and again. 6/10
sound - since i'm deaf i didn't hear anything. 0/10
overall - WORST GAME EVAH. i can't believe ps3 owners are buying crappy games like this 19/50
So, it's safe to say he likes it as much as Chicken Shoot? Maybe slightly more?
it's his opinion and if you choose to read it, then don't bitch cuz it was your choice.
Now I have noticed that reviews on this game fluctuate quite a bit among reviewers, it seems to be that this game is either 'you love it' or you 'dislike it' kind of a fair.
good review. i like jeff, he earned my respect by giving TP what it deserved.

I can't complain too much about his TP review since that game was lacking some things like Voice Acting, Orchestral Score, Interesting Story etc. but seriously he rated Warioware: Smooth Moves higher!
Does this mean Target Terror>Conduit confirmed?

That video...
It just...
What?
I wasn't going to comment on this because Giant Bomb and Jeff Gerstmann don't deserve the attention, but since the thread is already up to 50 replies I'll go ahead and say something.
Two days ago (check the timestamp) I said:
I think the problem with reviews for this game, is that a lot of people have prejudged it before even playing it. They go in saying, "I'm not going to like this," and find reasons to not like it. Nevermind that many of the things they knock this game for exist in every FPS. Nevermind that the controls are completely customizable.
The part about the controls just drives me nuts. It's like this is the first game he has ever played using the IR pointer. Didn't he play Metroid Prime 3: Corruption two years ago? Or any of the other shooters that have been on the Wii? Or even Wii Play for God's sake.

What is even worse is that reviewers like him are helping publishers decide not to put certain genres on the Wii. Why is it that the Wii has so little FPS/TPS and so many rail shooters? EA apparently did research and decided Dead Space would be better as a rail shooter... Is it because of feedback from game reviewers saying the Wii doesn't work for FPS/TPS? It is really sad that we still don't have any more third person games that control like Scarface for Wii.
Honestly, I think HVS is wasting money on Gladiator A.D. It may be a fun game but I don't see it selling anywhere near as well as The Conduit or The Grinder. If they were going to venture into another genre, personally I would have gone for a TPS because it is far more popular than fighting games...
I mean, when you think of the 360 you think Halo and Gears. The PS3 is Killzone 2 and Uncharted/MGS...although LBP and Final Fantasy/Gran Turismo come to mind as well... Where is the Wii's FPS/TPS combo?

Wow, that Wii Bowling video alone made walking into this thread worthwhile.
I've always admired Gerstmann for the incredibly appropriate name he gave his web site.

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event." — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing
