Forums - Microsoft - Crackdown vs. Infamous

I bought Crackdown yesterday for eight dollars brand new. I love the Toys 'R' Us clearance section, I really do.

My favorite superhero sandbox game is The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Let's see how it compares.

Back when it came out, I heard Crackdown was just a vehicle for the demo that came with it but I guess people have forgotten all about that now.

360 fans love crackdown, PS3 fans love inFamous. I'm glad we cleared that up. (Except for Richard who was neutral.)

To the op: It's an odd choice to put a Sony exclusive vs. 360 Exclusive thread in the 360 section.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

Well I ordered InFamous, hopefully it will be there in the next days.
However judging from the demo it is a great game (with a much better storyline), but it can't reach the best parts of Crackdown in terms of gameplay/fun.

I am actually more of a FAN of both, as I like a game where you are a hero in a sandbox.  It is partly the reason why I just can't get into Prototype.  I am sorry, but a game where you eat brains just doesn't do it for me.  I am eager to see Crackdown 2.

I believe each game has strengths and weaknesses, but inFAMOUS seems to be developed further as a game.

I might buy Crackdown now after reading these comments. Thanks guys.

"The Hunt for Adjility Orbs" (aka Crackdown) is a fun game you will get some hours of entertainment out of, particularly at a clearance price.

I said this in another thread, but here goes again:

inFAMOUS has been in development since before Crackdown released. So if it's borrowing/biting from Crackdown, Sucker Punch must've had some pretty good insiders/informants at Realtime Studios, for them to try and copy a 360 game before it released

Then they all are borrowing from Spiderman 2.  Agility Orbs = shards between the two games.

A bunch of 360 fans claiming that a 360 exclusive is better than a PS3 exclusive? Who would have guessed? Please, at least don't lie and actually claim that your opinion is somehow unbiased. Just admit that you like one game better because it's on the platform that you like more, and you haven't played the other game enough to form an even halfway valid opinion. Have some dignity.

That's standard business in these forums Montana, and you know it.

Why burst about it? It's been going on for years.
