im fckn tired of these threads

ppl trying to hype a game off the other.... like halo 3 and killzone 2 comparison

Then why answer in them, thus making the thread go back to the top of the page? You're bright, King of Pop - RIP.

What, son, what? New York, New York!!!

Gran Turismo has official WRC and Nascar licenses
GT5 will somehow link with Top Gear (not just the test track)

Forza has always been catered to a larger crowd, IMO, whereas GT is catered toward the "enthusiast".

Over time they have grown toward each other, in such a way that they are near indistinguishable, as far as their demographic target goes. I guess you could also say that, really, Forza has just gotten more realistic with time, and that GT has basically always been the same.

Tecnologically, with regards to platform, the PS3 should be able to simulate vehicular physics more realistically (more CPU horsepower), whereas Forza should look better, because racing games don't require much beyond the simulation and terrain, in main memory, and the X360's flexible memory architecture, and flexible GPU pipeline should really shine in the genre, which is naturally lopsided, as far as system resources go.

In a sense, Forza has always been a natural fit to the 360, for that reason, and perhaps GT is a natural fit for Sony's console as well.

Gran Turismo is betterer, and it is on its 5th iteration, and has sold bucketloads, certainly well over 50m, so must be good, whereas Forza 2 only sold great because of its bundling. It is all about the name

You have to ask yourself, what is the difference between all racing games, apart from how annoying the guy showing them off is. You have incredibly arrogant Forza guy, you have unconfortable looking Japanese guy with forgetful translator, and then you have the nice humble Easter European sounding guy who is giving away a car [NFS Shift]

Sorry, I just forgot the main reason that I am getting GT 5 not Forza 3, Gran Turismo 5 has the Top Gear test track (and hopefully the PSP version does too!)

You would understand if you watched Top Gear, I just need to beat the Stig!

Gran Turismo takes longer to make.

I think that's about it.

GT (as far as i know, not a race fan either) has more gamemodes, GT TV with shows like Top Gear etc, is the only race game to supports 16 cars online, and authentic car handling to each specific car. I read somewhere where a two journalists bought their respective cars based upon how they handled in the game.

And Forza has more of a tuning and customization race game and have GRID-like rewind feature (dunno who was first or if GT has this). And a wide variety in leaderboards and video upload.

Gran Turismo is spelled differently

not much. Just the consoles theyre on. The concept and visuals are more or less the same.

Long Live SHIO!
