What exactlly were you expecting from a developer that released no high quality titles in its past history.
You can hype all you want , if you're mediocre, marketing alone isn't going to make you good...
PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

True. The point is people expected something similar to K2 or Halo. There was a topic about Halo ODST, Killzone 2 and Conduit and most guys out there declared they would prefer Conduit over ODST or K2. Right now it sounds silly as hell but it is true. This mediocre generic shooter hyped over extremely polished and rich in every feature you want games.

Like Montana already said, this game will be front loaded. Also, comparison to WaW is not very fair. The latter sold most of its volume during the holiday season.

True story. I was enjoying myself until the reviewers pointed out how much it sucks. After that, I burned it.

That has nothing to do with sales at all.
The game is great. Many of the reviews are biased BS and you can't say otherwise unless you have played it. It isn't right to compare a Wii game to PS3/360 titles for review purposes because the Wii isn't technically as capable.
I suggest you read the review on this site as it is very accurate. If you would like a game in the vein of Goldeneye/Perfect Dark with better graphics and solid online then The Conduit is great. And yes, it does have a ranking system.

What I'm hoping, and many, is a progression. For many The Conduit is a good old school shooter, for some they expected a modern shooter, and I think the reviews bear that out. What you hope is that with each orginal IP they release they get better and better. Thats the way most studios start.
Yes you have your exceptions. Ronimo Games comes to mind (De Blob-orginal concept & Swords & Soliders). But what you hope is that with a better budget that they can get better.
...Early reports are now that The Grinder is AHEAD of The Conduit right now, and it's not even in the meat of it's development.
The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!
