I defined the current market as 18 months, selected only items that actually had a retail box sale, and filtered out all titles that people would argue sales based upon quality. I clearly defined the rules for the dataset in my original post. My post intends to tell the story of the current marketplace.

I truly don't think there's any bias at all in this list, but intentional or not, this is the very definition of cherry picking.

Exactly the most fundamental flaw in your analysis is that not only did you exclude exclusives from 2007 you didn't even include their sales from 2008 onwards. Why in the world did you not add sales of exclusives that continued to sell in 2008?

The 360's massive back catalog from before 2008 is a big draw to the system and undoubtably led to sales being distributed much more heavily over older titles than is the case for the PS3 due to it having far fewer high caliber games before 2008.

Also why didn't you make the metacritic score a 75, many good games get caught just below the 80 mark on metacritic and this would be a fairer assesment of games overall.
