Forums - Sony - European PSN Cards *May* Have Been Announced

ps3clan.nl reports live from a Dutch event called GameKings Live that a Sony spokesman has announced a solution for the paying possibilities for PSN

"The update for more paying possibilities is around the corner. I myself am tired of waiting as well, it's just so much work to make something like this possible for 27 different PSN Stores."

O man this better be true. Sony can make millions of £ just from the European market.

There was a "Playstation Suprise" scheduled for 13:15 and this news was reported right after that so ...

I guess it's true.

The Sony guy did not give any release plans.

But I'd say they'll at least be released with the PSP Go

Let's hope Sony are doing it. Though it does not really affect me, people seem to really want this

Here's hoping this is true since there is a lot of people out there that are not able to buy content from the PSN... It would be in Sony's best interest to do this

I bought 60$ worth of PSN cards at a Gamestop when I visited the United States only 2 weeks ago, thinking it would be my last chance to ever buy something off PSN. (*)

(*) - the above was slightly(**) dramatized for dramatical purposes

(**) - not slightly

Or untill I can apply for a credit card :p

Why SONY hasn't done this yet is beyond me...

Me too.

So it seems that I can finally "buy" something from PSN instead of downloading some free contents....

Well, they just arrived in Canada after over a year. So it took 1 year to ship to a place 30 minutes from the USA border. Good luck...

I think part of the problem is that they have to give the retailers a cut and it costs money to send and make the physical unit, so in a £20 card, they only get say £15, even though the consumer can purchase £20 of content
