Forums - Sony - This one's for all PSP owners....

Or if you had a wide experience with the PSP. I have big hands, (the duke for Xbox was my prefered controller ) i want to know which model of PSP would you recommend for comfortable portable gaming. Also if there are noticable differences in performance with the newer models let me know. Trying to narrow down a decision on purchasing one.

Thanks all.

PSP GO.............

I would say that PSP 1000 seeing that it was the most ergonomical for me... maybe the Go later on but I havent tested it myself... oh and you can get a grip for every PSP model for pretty cheap to ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Big hands??? The original PHAT model, or the 1000 series as it's now called.

I'm keeping an eye on it myself [the Go], but i'm skeptical of how comfortable that design is, i've had a bit of experience with something similar and it wasn't.

Where?

PSP GO has features that other PSPs dont like calender and Clock settings( alarm, timer ext) SONY said there would be more, and also PSP GO is the most portable...try carrying the others in your pocket, feels like you shitted on yourself..PSP GO is smaller than a Iphone

You should probably also consider that weight will factor into portable comfort in the long run.

The added weight of the PSP 1000 may outweigh the benefits of it being bigger.

But the only way you can find out is testing, so I'd recommend asking people you know about there PSP's if they have one (and maybe to let you borrow it depending on the relationship). Or if that's not possible, you could always go to a second hand shop or gaming store that sells second hand console and ask to check out one of those PSP's (like to be PSP phats) and ask for a play test, that'll tell you if it sits comfortably in your hands. Then say "Okay, thanks, I'll need more time to think about it, but I'll come back later".

Obviously do this at a store that you know you'll never visit again......

But if you discover that you don't mind the weight and like the feel in your hands, your decision will be made for you.
