Forums - Sales - Famitsu first day sales

Whilst there is a lot of fanboy rhetoric going on in this thread about x-game perfomed badly on the Ps3/ so y-game sold poorly on the Wii etc. i must admit that type for type these games should sell better on the Wii simply because of the larger userbase. So i can buy some of the arguments about games "bombing" on the Wii. However, purely from a business perspective i suppose lower dev costs on the Wii just about evens things out i suppose.

ARF sold meh. Atelier sold meh.

Don't even TRY to argue against this.

The point is that ARF sold meher.

Is ARF still releasing in America? If it is, over all sales could be better.I think it is coming out in November.

The same thing applies to Atelier.

New IPs on home consoles haven't been selling that well in Japan on any system really, unless they were big budget.

Bionic Commando was a bomba as well.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

You're concluding that on one day of sales for Atelier and a few weeks for ARF?

For all we know, Atelier could have worse legs and LTD JP sales.

Core Wii games in Japan don't tend to have any staying power. Why would ARF be any different? Looks like it is rapidly on the way out of the top 50.

And this is coming from the guy who said that wii fit would fail to sell 1 million japan...

RPGs rarely do, Atelier is no different.

This is kinda funny. While very true, I'll refer to your post.

Let the games sell.

Yeah, also the guy that predicted SMG was going to bomb. He's like a distant voice that barely reaches our ears... So much hatred that it's even dangerous for himself.

For all we know, Atelier Rorona is pretty much selling at the same rate as the previous one's on the PS2.

WSR FTW! Hope it gives Wii a good boost.

OK openings for Blazblue/Atelier Rorona.

Also, what's "Really? Really! DS"? O_o

«©NCSX» The worlds of Really? Really! are inhabited by gods, humans, and devils who enjoy a peaceful coexistence. One such human is an orange-haired girl named Kaede Fuyou who has a tragic past. Kaede originally appeared in the Shuffle! game from publisher Navel and her story continues in Really? Really! where her past is explored along with her complicated relationship with a boy named Rin Tsuchimi.

The promotional material for the NDS conversion of Really? Really! mentions that the game spans two gigs with backup ram of 512K. Much of the memory is taken up by the full voice acting featured in the interactive adventure. Really was originally released on the PC as an adult visual novel with depictions of copulation but the NDS rendition removes all of the adult content so that the adventure may be played by everyone. ( From: NCSX).

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

I give credit where it is due. Atelier's sales are nothing to write home about either, but reaching for excuses to try and defend the weak sales of stuff like ARF on the Wii is funny.
