How can one distinguish between what is acceptable and what is not, if members have trolled about other people and never gotten banned? What is the distinction here? All I am saying is, I don't think it was right to ban any of those people. I think the fair thing would have been a severe warning along with a demand to change the posts to something more suitable.

I understand what your angst is, and I agree that the statements made were not in good taste in this thread, but given what I have seen in other threads, I don't think it was bannable. You cannot assume everybody will be able to follow unwritten rules that have never been spoken of, or followed before this moment. I hope you see where I am coming from, I respect that you can ban anyvody you want, at any time, for any reason, but I for one, would expect you to use good judgement and at least be fair about it.

I guess it's understandable that some people should show such hatred and bad taste towards Michael Jackson and this thread because to a lot of people he was a child molester who got away with it using his influence and money.

I cannot think of any other person who has been accused of such crimes and either not made it to court or found not guilty who then still has the populartity he has,

To a lot of people seeing so many others celebrating the life and career of someone who is considereed by many to have 'got away with it' understandably causes a bad taste in the mouth.

Having said all that I don't think he was a bad person and it is sad but not as sad as the millions still starving and the situation in Iran etc.

Yeah, heard about his situation last night, right before I went to bed. There were just rumors that he'd died then, but I already figured he wouldn't make it, what with his physical condition and all.
Well, it's a shame, really, he truly had a profound impact on pop music. And right before his concerts in the UK would start, too...

People need something to hate about Michael. Everyone knew the guy was a wierdo, but he was also a genius. He was a child at heart, but an adult when it came to business. Socially he was not his age, because he suffered greatly from abuse and isolation when it came to being social as a child. He had a philosophy that children were the only shred of innocence in this world and he literally thought like a child, so much that his parental skills were questioned. Molesting children?...the guy was psychologically a child. No one would've been able to bear seeing Michael Jackson grow old, because of how youthful he was. What person in their right mind goes to court in their sleep wear? I mean come on! That guy was preyed upon by people who understand the system, and they falsely accused Michael of crimes he didn't commit. Wanna know how I know? Money wouldn't have been able to replace what Michael did to their children, if he did it. I guess those parents didn't care about their kids and only cared about the money. As much as I love my country, it was Americans who ran Michael out of America and forced him to seek refuge for his sanity with the Europeans. Thats one of the reasons his tour was exclusive to europe.
